Market Map (Draft)

Below is a first draft of a research market map I started putting together a few weeks ago (inspired by the FirstMark Capital MAD 2023). I welcome any feedback on companies or categories in the comments on the LinkedIn post. Intentionally not including traditional market/exchange data (fundamentals, estimates, prices, analytics), data management/technologies, or crypto/blockchain.

• Chartbeat acquired Tubular Labs (social video analytics).

• Syntax acquired Locus Analytics (business and economic data).

Fundraising

• DiffusionData (data platform) raised £1M from The North East Development Capital Fund (NEDCF).

• Horsefly (talent analytics) announced an investment from LDC.

• MultiLynq (fixed income trading) announced an investment from Citadel Securities and Jane Street Capital.

• pgEdge (database) raised $9M in a Seed round led by Sands Capital Ventures and Grotech Ventures.

• Quantifind (AML-KYC) raised $23M in a round led by DNS Capital.

• Savant Labs (analytics automation) raised $11M in a Seed round led by Cota Capital.
