Serial Acquirers

4 companies had 3 or more acquisitions during the year.

Nuqleous, a builder of intelligence technology solutions for retailers and consumer product companies, made 4 acquisitions in the retail data & analytics sector, buying Interactive Edge, SpringBoard, TR3, and Shiloh. The company is based in Bentonville, AR and is led by Co-CEOs Garrett Levey (fellow Wayland High School alum) and Bill Kloza. Nuqleous raised $26M in a Series A in July 2023 led by Blue Ladder Capital, Garrett and Bill’s firm.

Boomi, an Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and API management platform, made 3 acquisitions in the data integration and API management space, buying Rivery, APIIDA, and TIBCO’s Mashery. The company is based in Conshohocken (Conshy), PA and is led by CEO Steve Lucas. Boomi is owned by Francisco Partners and TPG who acquired the company from Dell in May 2021.

Databricks needs no intro to this audience. The data & AI company made 3 acquisitions, buying data management provider Tabular, cloud-native infrastructure management provider, Prodvana, and natural language data science notebook, Einblick. The company is based in San Francisco, CA and is led by CEO Ali Ghodsi. Databricks just announced a $10B Series J led by Thrive Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, DST Global, GIC, Insight Partners, and WCM Investment Management.

Robinhood, a trading platform and financial services provider, made 3 acquisitions, buying portfolio management and RIA services company, TradePMR, AI-powered investment platform, Pluto, and crypto exchange, Bitstamp. The company is based in Menlo Park, CA and is led by CEO Vlad Tenev. Robinhood is publicly traded under NASDAQ: HOOD.
