Upcoming Events

Below are a few events I’m looking forward to attending and speaking at. Let me know if you’ll be joining at them as well.

June 10 - Bloomberg’s Voices in Investment Research Summer Reception featuring keynote speakers Hepsen Uzcan, CEO of DWS Americas, and Gemma Postlethwaite, CEO of GLG. Christian Nikolay and the Bloomberg research content team always host phenomenal events.

June 11 - BattleFin’s Discovery Day NYC. I’ll be speaking on a panel “The Future of Expert-Based Research: Quantifying the Qualitative” where we’ll be discussing AI impact on insight generation and conducting expert-based research at unprecedented scale.

June 12 - Substantive Research’s Unbundling Uncovered. I’ll be speaking on a panel “The Integration of Data and Research – Budgeting, Sourcing and Procuring across a wide range of inputs” with Carrie Anton (Jain Global), Bill Bierds (BCC Group), Thomas Li (Daloopa), Steve Moreno (Capital Group), and Czarina Reinante (Substantive Research). We’ll be discussing how supply and demand for external data and research is adapting to trends around integration, data procurement best practices, how brokers have adapted and repackaged research for their clients’ more data driven approaches, and how the buy side is delineating research and market data budgets.

New Product Launch

Do you work in sales, account management, or customer success in the data industry? My friends at Bobsled announced Data Products in Bobsled. Now, customer-facing teams can create and customize products on demand, without burying engineering in a sprawling mess of costly pipelines and ungoverned products.

With Data Products in Bobsled, teams can:

  • Customize products on the fly. Filter rows, select columns, and build complex joins using a no-code editor or AI-assisted SQL interface.

  • Govern data products centrally. Track permissions, usage, and lineage for every product and customer from a single pane of glass.

  • Integrate with existing apps and workflows. Embed product creation into internal apps or data marketplaces with our Data Product API.

Check out more info in the product announcement here, in a quick video here or let me know if you’d like an intro to the team to learn more.
