Earlier this week, Matt Turck and the team at FirstMark dropped the 2023 MAD (Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence & Data) Landscape. This year they’ve included an interactive version in partnership with CB Insights and Gotta Go Fast followed by the annual state of the union post. The landscape has a total of 1,416 logos appearing. For comparison, there were 139 in the first version in 2012.

  • CommandK (sensitive data security) raised $3M in a Seed round led by Lightspeed.

  • Kern AI (NLP development platform) raised €2.7M in a Seed round led by Seedcamp and Faber.

  • Metomic (sensitive data security) raised $20M in a Series A led by Evolution Equity Partners.

  • NewsWhip (media monitoring) raised $13M in funding from AshGrove Capital.

  • Veridion (formerly Soleadify) (firmographic intelligence) raised $6M in a Seed round from LAUNCHub Ventures, OTB Ventures, Underline Ventures, and existing investors Day One Capital and GapMinder Venture Partners.
