Monopoly Money
Dream of Tokenification

Busy week last week and didn’t get a post out. Sohn, Bloomberg, “Healthcare Data Goons”, BattleFin, and to cap off the week with something not data related (yes, I occasionally hang out with people not in data), I went to Anastasia Egeli’s exhibition of new works opening reception. Anastasia is a 3rd generation artist. Her grandfather, Bjorn Egeli, was a portrait artist who painted portraits for Presidents Nixon and Eisenhower. Thank you Ted Merz for introducing me to Anastasia and her art!
Since last post we’ve seen 4 M&A deals, 5 funding rounds, 28 people moves & promotions, 7 roles, 2 new companies, 2 articles, and 1 podcast.
This week brought to you in partnership with Brickroad. Check out their info below and let me know if you’d like an intro.

The edge in data isn't in the vendors everyone already knows. Alpha exists outside of catalogs and conferences - in companies generating your target data as a byproduct of what they already do, including suppliers that have never sold data and have no reason to show up in a standard search.
Brickroad's Information Frontier Agent (IFA) finds them. Each agent query returns companies at the information frontier, with verified contacts, inferred datasets, and procurement feasibility - structured and ready for outreach.
Built for the best data sourcing teams that are done re-running the same vendor searches and coming up empty. Click here for a 7-day free trial of the Pro Plan
