The Sunday Edition
And Newly Added Events This Week
ICYMI
Last week was huge for job postings and contributions from the community. I posted on LinkedIn: Who's hiring in data & insights? which set off over 33,000 views in less than a week. Thank you to everyone who reached out and all my new subscribers. Last week we highlighted 21 companies and headhunters hiring across roles in data, research, and product, and already have a fresh batch ready to go for this week’s newsletter.
In fundraising, we had a record-setting 16 announcements including drug discovery AI platform Causaly’s $60M Series B led by ICONIQ Growth, fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) data security company Optalysys’s £21M Series A led by Lingotto, imec.xpand, and Northern Gritstone, and cloud programming startup Wing Cloud’s $20M Seed round led by Battery Ventures, Grove Ventures, and StageOne Ventures. Also of note, SAP announce strategic direct investments in Aleph Alpha, Anthropic, and Cohere.
There were 3 M&A announcements including AirDNA’s acquisition of location intelligence company Arrivalist.
In people moves, promotions, and appointments, there were 22 highlighted including 4 Board and Advisor appointments: Dessa Glasser as Chair of the Board of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), David Leigh as Board Member of Third Bridge, Alexandra Mysak as Board Member of FINOS, and Benjamin Rogojan as Advisor at Estuary.
